Point Aux Chene is known by many as the best red fishing spot on the Louisiana coast and a hidden gem for speckle trout in cooler months. It is located just south of Houma off Hwy 665 and offers incredible opportunities for Louisiana marsh fishing.  This area has become a favorite among kayakers because of the easy access to numerous shallows, while remaining popular among boaters thanks to its central location.  Pointe Aux Chene Marina and PAC Kayak are only a quarter mile from Reel-ax-Inn.  Both offer a variety of live and frozen baits.  Two boat launches are available at Pointe Aux Chene Marina, while PAC Kayak offers a kayak launch as well as rentals and charters
